On July 8, Caucasus University hosted the final event of the fifth stream of the startup pre-acceleration program CUnicorn – Demo Day, organized by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and supported by BAUMER.

The event served as a key platform for young entrepreneurs to present their innovative ideas to investors and industry experts. Seven startup teams participated in the Demo Day, comprising students, graduates, university staff, and — for the first time in the program’s history — entrants.

Throughout the program, the teams actively collaborated with members of the Investment Council of the Georgian Angel Investor Network (Axel) and other angel investors, gaining invaluable experience and feedback. The event was opened by Kakha Shengelia, President of Caucasus University; Irena Melua, Vice President for Internationalization; Avtandil Kasradze, Chairman of GITA; and Levan Kirimlishvili, Founder of Baumer and Director of Infinity Ventures Holding.

In their remarks, they emphasized the importance of building Georgia’s startup ecosystem and fostering opportunities for young entrepreneurs. Speaking to Entrepreneur, Levan Kirimlishvili highlighted Baumer’s motivation for supporting the initiative: “For Baumer, as a company operating in the engineering field, supporting technology and encouraging the next generation is very important. That is why it matters to us to be part of this journey and support startups that see challenges as opportunities rather than barriers.”
