Baumer, an engineering systems design and installation company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with OV Engineering, a company with international experience in energy-efficient construction and LEED® certification consulting.

The partnership aims to develop energy-efficient and sustainable construction practices in Georgia, as well as to introduce international standards within the construction sector. Under the agreement, the companies will jointly work to implement engineering solutions in various construction projects that comply with modern environmental and energy-efficiency standards.

“LEED is one of the most authoritative international standards in the field of energy-efficient and sustainable construction. Introducing such approaches and standards to the Georgian market is in our direct interest, as it contributes to raising the quality of the construction sector. A modern building should first and foremost serve society, be energy-efficient, and at the same time ensure maximum environmental safety,” said Levan Kyrimlishvili, Director of Infinity Ventures Holding and Founder of Baumer.

For Baumer, it is of particular importance that the engineering systems used in buildings—heating, ventilation, air conditioning, water supply, and other technical systems—are as efficient and energy-saving as possible. These systems, along with the materials used within them, represent one of the most critical components of a building’s energy efficiency and have a significant impact on both operational costs and the environment.

In this context, LEED® certification holds particular importance. The principles of LEED include efficient use of energy and water, environmentally responsible construction materials, a healthy indoor environment, and design and infrastructure that minimize environmental impact.

According to experts, energy-efficient buildings significantly reduce energy consumption, lower operational costs, and create a healthier and more comfortable environment for building users. At the same time, such approaches are also important for the country, as they support the development of modern, sustainable, and high-quality construction infrastructure.

That is precisely why Infinity Ventures Holding, of which Baumer is a member company, has selected OV Engineering as its partner—an organization recognized as an industry expert in energy-efficient construction and LEED certification.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed in an additional demonstration space of Baumer Academy, where a thematic lecture titled “LEED Certification and Energy-Efficient Buildings in Georgia” was held as part of the event. The lecture covered development trends in energy-efficient construction in Georgia and the importance of implementing international standards. It also addressed the existing challenges and progress of energy efficiency in the Georgian construction sector, as well as the LEED certification process, its benefits, and its relevance for the country.

OV Engineering is a leading company in construction project management and LEED® certification consulting, employing its own LEED® Accredited Professional (AP) specialists and bringing years of experience in the development of energy-efficient and sustainable buildings.

Baumer has been providing engineering systems design, installation, and technical services in the Georgian construction market for more than 13 years. Over this period, Baumer’s experience has covered residential, office, industrial, and warehouse projects both in Tbilisi and in the regions.
